Join the Adventure for 2008-2009!
 |
Our theme for 2008-2009 is
Adventures in Mothering. This theme equips moms to learn more
about themselves as they go through the adventure of motherhood. They
will celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst
of daily mom life that stretches them emotionally and spiritually.
The metaphor for Adventures in
Mothering is an amusement park. With the sights, sounds, tastes and
smells of the amusement park, motherhood might feel like a sensory
overload. But your MOPS group will enjoy this together and learn more
about themselves as women, moms and leaders.
The theme verse for
Adventures in Mothering is Ephesians 3:18:
“…how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
The dimensions of this verse expresses
how God is with us in our mothering adventure. The knowledge that God is
with us on the mothering adventure gives hope. God’s love is big enough
for the magnitude of the adventure! |

through kindergarten are welcome. Our Christmas Brunch, Easter Brunch, and

Our
annual Silent Auction was held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 9-11:30 a.m.
Fifty-two women silently bid on 203 baskets at our Silent
Auction this year where MOPS earned one of our highest amounts
in MOPS history - $4,080.00! A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our
retail/corporate donors, moms who donated items, and those who
helped pull the event together - we could not have done this
without you. And, THANK YOU to those of you who participated in
the auction - we appreciate your generosity!

In 2007, we had
Antiquities (an antique children's photographer) come in and it was a
complete success! Thank you to all the families who supported MOPS with this
fundraiser.

What happens when MOPS is over? We get together at local parks
throughout the summer! Our MOPS group meets throughout the summer
on "MOPS Tuesdays" for some fun in the sun! Stay tuned
in May 2009 when park dates are announced.

Childcare Policy
Childcare is
available for our MOPS program (MOPPETS) and is provided through
Children’s Ministries. There is a childcare policy in place to
provide a safe place where moms know their children are well taken
care of so they are free to learn and grow in Christ through
Women’s Ministries opportunities.
